Kirinyaga governorship aspirant Anne Waiguru has upped her governorship campaigns by holding vital meetings with key leaders from the county.
Ms Waiguru has held meetings with ward leaders from Kirinyaga Central and Gichugu constituencies with similar meetings with leaders from Mwea and Ndia constituencies set for coming days.
Ms Waiguru and her campaign team on Saturday met leaders from Ngariama and Njuki-ini wards (Gichugu Constituency) at Philadelphia hotel as she gathers support for her candidature.
The governorship aspirant assured the leaders of her desire to make Kirinyaga a development hub and improve the living standards of the constituents.
“If elected governor, I promise to work closely with the national government to make Kirinyaga  county the most l developed county in  Kenya.”

Meetings with ward leaders

On Friday, Ms Waiguru held meetings with leaders from Karumandi, Baragwi and Kabare wards (Gichugu Constituency) at Sifa gardens in Kutus.
She also held meetings with leaders from Kanyeki-ini and Kerugoya wards in Kirinyaga Central Constituency at Starwood gardens in Kerugoya.
They leaders castigated current governor Joseph Ndathi for running down the county, saying the people of Kirinyaga deserves better leadership.
They assured Ms Waiguru of their support in a bid to ensure she clitches he governorship seat.
